When I birthed my son Leonidas naturally 8 days after my water broke, I knew my whole world just changed forever.
These 8 days were the portal.
The portal for me to let go of the maiden in me and allow the mother to be birthed.
A portal that stretched me not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I couldn’t even put into words the love, the depth, the fierceness, the faith, the responsibility that I was experiencing.
It was beyond anything I have ever experienced in my life.
It was also then that I felt so incredibly connected to every single woman on this planet.
Energetically I bowed to all mothers.
In deep acknowledgement, in respect, in awe.
I couldn't believe how strong we are.
Strong through surrender.
Strong through softness.
Strong through bringing life onto this planet.
Birth was the closest I’ve ever been to a miracle, to god, to my partner and to myself.
What a rite of passage.

The days and weeks and months after birth I yearned for community, support, feeling seen and understood and supported in motherhood. And I had wonderful women in my life who supported me so much. But my yearning didn't stop.
I wished for more knowledge.

Empowered, positive but also real motherhood examples.
I wished for more confidence in trusting my intuition and my mother's instinct.
I wished for the real village feeling.
And this is why I created soulful motherhood.
